Meghan Markle latest – Prince Harry calls for Covid jabs to be ‘distributed to everyone everywhere’ at Vax Live concert

Prince Harry got a standing ovation after appearing at a special Covid event last night in his first appearance since Prince Philip’s funeral.

The Duke of Sussex was among a bevy of big names taking part in the taping of the Vax Live show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, due to air on May 8.

He said: “Hi everybody. We are at a defining moment in the global fight against Covid-19. Tonight is a celebration of each of you here, the vaccinated frontline workers in the audience and the millions of frontline heroes around the world. You spent the last year battling courageously and selflessly to protect us all.

“You served and sacrificed, put yourselves in harm’s way and with bravery knowing the costs. We owe you an incredible depth of gratitude, thank you. We’re also coming together because this pandemic cannot end unless we act collectively with an unprecedented commitment to our shared humanity.”

Meanwhile an expert said William and Kate Middleton’s anniversary pics prove they’re really living the “happiness” that Harry and Meghan won’t shut up about.

While moping Meghan and Harry spend much of their extremely privileged lives discussing the ways they’re trying to make themselves happy, William and Kate have quietly established a perfect family life for themselves.

And their 10th anniversary photos on April 29 prove the couple really are blissful a decade into marriage, happily posing for natural unedited shots with their three adorable children.

And while they don’t use every opportunity they get talking about themselves and their feelings, it’s clear William and Kate’s dedication to royal duties has really left them feeling happy.

The pics are in stark contrast to Harry and pregnant Meghan‘s recent media appearances, where they regularly speak of escaping the UK for their own happiness, only to mope and moan about how difficult everything has been.

  • PRINCE HARRY ‘SHOULD BECOME KING INSTEAD OF CHARLES’ – POLL

The Duke of Sussex should become King instead of his dad, the Prince of Wales, a survey has been told.

The recent Deltapoll research found that more than half of 18 to 24-year-olds want Prince Harry to be crowned King when his grandma dies as he is the “preferred future monarch”, reports the Express.

Despite the royal quitting the UK with Meghan Markle to start a new life in the US, 51 per cent of respondents in that age bracket want him to reign as monarch.

Forty-seven per cent of the 1,590 adults polled said they preferred Prince William to be King rather than Prince Charles.

On Australian morning TV show Sunrise, royal commentator Anna Musson said: “Of course you’re going to vote for the person similar to you.”

  • PRINCE HARRY ‘GOT NEW EXEC JOB DESPITE LACK OF OBVIOUS QUALIFICATIONS’

Prince Harry’s appointment as a senior exec in a $1.7billion US firm is a “big win, given his lack of obvious qualifications”, say royal writers.

Richard Kay and Geoffrey Levy said in the Daily Mail that the Sussexes are enjoying an “impressively swift rise to the streaming stratosphere with their reported megabucks Netflix and Spotify deals.

“And that’s in addition to their elevation to the American entertainment elite, courtesy of Oprah and friends.”

  • QUEEN SENDS HER ‘WARMEST GOOD WISHES’ ON NORTHERN IRELAND CENTENARY

The Queen has sent her “warmest good wishes” to the people of Northern Ireland on the date which many consider to be its centenary.

She referred to “treasured” memories she shared in NI with her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, and paid tribute to its people.

It’s the 100th year since the Government of Ireland Act came into effect and the formation of the UK as we know it today.

In her tribute, the Queen said: “This anniversary reminds us of our complex history, and provides an opportunity to reflect on our togetherness and our diversity.

“It is clear that reconciliation, equality and mutual understanding cannot be taken for granted, and will require sustained fortitude and commitment. During my many visits to Northern Ireland, I have seen these qualities in abundance, and look forward to seeing them again on future occasions.”

  • DUKE OF SUSSEX ROCKS AT COVID JAB GIG

Prince Harry got a standing ovation after appearing solo as he joined celebs to film a Covid concert last night – in his first appearance since Prince Philip’s funeral.

The Duke of Sussex was among a bevy of big names taking part in the taping of the Vax Live show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, due to air on May 8.

  • MORE INFO ON UNVEILING OF PRINCESS DIANA STATUE

It’s previously been claimed that Prince Harry would return to the UK to unveil the Princess Diana statue after chats with his brother at Prince Philip’s funeral “broke the ice.”

The brothers have had frosty relations since Harry sensationally moved to the US and stepped back from royal life in 2020.

But, according to Royal biographer Omid Scobie, the Duke of Sussex is still expected to be at the statue unveiling for Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.

Writing in Bazaar.com, he said: “He will join William at Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden for a ceremony that was rescheduled from summer 2020.”

The statue of Diana is set to be revealed on July 1 – on what would have been her 60th birthday.

  • DOUBTS REMAIN OVER PRINCE HARRY RETURNING FOR DIANA STATUE UNVEILING

Prince Harry’s return to the UK for Princess Diana’s statue unveiling is in “serious doubt” after the royal rift, experts claim.

It was previously thought that William and Harry would unite at the exhibition of their mum’s statue in July – after months of tension between the pair.

Phil Dampier, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words, told the Sun Online: “I personally don’t think Meghan will return to the UK.

“And there must now be a serious doubt as to whether Harry will come over for the unveiling of a statue for Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday in July.”

  • MEGHAN MARKLE ISN’T KEEN ON PARTIES – CLAIMS

Meghan Markle isn’t keen on parties, according to Charlotte Griffiths’ column in the Mail On Sunday.

Meghan ‘bonded’ with high society stalwart Tamara Plunkett-Ernle-Erle-Drax during her brief stint in the UK.

Griffiths says: “Meghan and Tamara, wife of Harry’s friend Henry ‘Wago’ Warhurst, bonded at the wedding of Harry’s Eton pal Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks not long before Megxit.”

A source told the writer: “Tamara was not drinking and was chilling ouside the marquee, avoiding the crazy scenes inside.

“Meghan has never been the life and soul of parties, often sitting the dancing part out, so she was drawn to Tamara. She is one of the few British female friends of Harry that Meghan warmed to.”

  • FORTNUM AND MASON DENIES MAKING A ‘SPECIAL TEA FOR ARCHIE’

Fortnum and Mason hasn’t created a special blend of tea to mark the birth of Archie, according to Richard Eden in his Daily Mail column.

The iconic London store brought out a ‘Christening Blend Tea‘, which costs £5.25, as a “commemorative gift” to “mark the christening of HRH Price George of Cambridge”.

But, Eden notes, “no such honour has been conferred on his cousin Archie”.

Prince Charles’s stepson, Tom Parker Bowles, who has written a new book for the store, called Time for Tea, tactfully said: “You’d have to ask Fortnum’s why there isn’t another special blend.”

Eden suggests it may be to do with frosty relations between the royals.

  • ARCHIE EXCITED ABOUT BECOMING A BIG BROTHER

Archie is excited about his mum having another baby, calling himself a “big brother”, says a report.

New Idea in Australia says that an insider told the magazine last week that Archie has started his education at a lavish Montecito preschool in LA.

The unnamed source also revealed that little Archie has been heard repeating the phrase “big brother” ahead of the birth of Meghan and Harry’s daughter.

They added: “I think he thinks the baby is already here!”

  • FILTHY ANTI-ROYAL FIRM TWEET FROM PAL OF MEGHAN’S EX

A US commentator has posted a filthy comment about the royal ‘Firm’, suggesting palace officials could “eat a bag of d***s”.

Damian Holbrook shared his obscene thoughts as he’s fuming over Meghan Markle’s bitter comments about her experience in the UK.

Her former Suits co-star Patrick J Adams had praised her as “enthusiastic, kind, co-operative, giving, joyful and supportive”.

This prompted Holbrook to reply “yes!” before tweeting his foul-mouthed tirade against the Firm.

Holbrook later tried to defend his X-rated response, saying his support for Meghan was a result of “not just from delightful professional interactions, but from when she was previously married to my friend’s nephew”.

  • PRINCE HARRY ‘WOULD BE A HIT AT MOMMY AND ME MEDITATION SESSIONS’

The Duke of Sussex would be a “big hit” at popular LA baby classes favoured by Brits, reckons an expat.

OK! ex-editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens writes in the Daily Mail: “Baby classes are more exciting in LA, [including] at The Cow’s End Cafe, near the beach, always filled with yogi mamas like Meghan who headed upstairs for ‘mommy and me’ meditation sessions.

“Harry would be a big hit with the worn-down Brit mums who gather there looking for a lift during those first few months with a new baby.

“So long as Harry and Meghan have a group of Brits to laugh and cry with, it’ll be the perfect place for Archie to become a big brother.”

  • DOUBTS OVER PRINCE HARRY’S UK RETURN FOR DIANA STATUE UNVEILING

Prince Harry’s return to the UK for Princess Diana’s statue unveiling is in “serious doubt” after the royal rift, experts claim.

It was previously thought that William and Harry would unite at the exhibition of their mum’s statue in July – after months of tension between the pair.

  • HEALTHY MEGHAN IS ‘ANTI-PARTIES’

Meghan Markle isn’t keen on parties, according to Charlotte Griffiths’ column in the Mail On Sunday.

Meghan ‘bonded’ with high society stalwart Tamara Plunkett-Ernle-Erle-Drax during her brief stint in the UK.

Griffiths says: “Meghan and Tamara, wife of Harry’s friend Henry ‘Wago’ Warhurst, bonded at the wedding of Harry’s Eton pal Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks not long before Megxit.”

  • DUCHESS TO GO ON MATERNITY LEAVE ‘IN DAYS’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s little girl is due in June – and the Duchess is expected to go on maternity leave in days, it has been reported.

The royal couple’s second child will arrive soon – during their bombshell chat with Oprah Winfrey, they revealed they’re having a girl.

In keeping with royal tradition, they didn’t share their due date.

However, it’s now believed the tot will arrive in June, the Telegraph reports.

  • WHERE WOULD MEGHAN MARKLE GIVE BIRTH IN LA?

Meghan Markle could follow in the maternal footsteps of Kourtney Kardashian and Victoria Beckham by giving birth at a very posh hospital in LA, says a Brit expat.

The royal has “two A-list hospital options” when she gives birth to her and Prince Harry’s second baby in the US, according to Sarah Ivens.

The Duchess of Sussex could head to either Cedars-Sinai or St. John’s, suggests the OK! ex-editor-in-chief in the Daily Mail.

She says that Cedars-Sinai is the ‘creme de la creme’ with ‘lavish birthing suites’ – it was chosen by Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Kourtney Kadashian and Penelope Cruz.

But, one major downside, especially for Meghan, is that the Starbucks in the lobby is heaving with nosy reporters looking for a scoop, she adds.

St. John’s Health Center is more low-key, for “celebs wanting to avoid the paparazzi”.

  • MEGHAN MARKLE TO ‘GIVE BIRTH ANY DAY’

Meghan Markle, 39, was seen in Montecito two weeks ago looking “very bumpy” according to witnesses.

They told Australia-based gossip and celeb magazine New Idea they would not be surprised if the former royal was due to give birth at “any moment”.

“It certainly seemed like she could have the baby any day now,” the onlooker added.

Meghan and Harry are said to be expecting their second child – a sister for little Archie – in summer.

  • POSH AND BECKS VS THE SUSSEXES

David Beckham had an awkward conversation with Prince Harry after an argument between their wives, it has been reported.

Meghan and Victoria are said to have locked horns after the Duchess questioned her about leaking stories as private details of their friendship regularly appeared in the press.

“Harry was very polite, but obviously it was a pretty awkward exchange and David was mortified,” a source said last year, around the same time the Sussexes announced they were stepping down from their senior royal positions.

“Inexplicably, [Meghan] feared Victoria was behind it — I mean, the idea that Victoria Beckham would be personally ringing journalists to give them a scoop is ridiculous — and spoke to Harry about it.

“Harry is very protective of Meghan, and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David.”

  • MEGHAN ‘RUSHED TO HOSPITAL’

Pregnant Meghan Markle was reportedly rushed to hospital last week, sparking rumours she has given birth.

A black SUV carrying a woman who looked just like the duchess was seen speeding into the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital late last week, New Idea reports.

A Montecito-based source said: “Word around town is that she wants a home birth, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need a backup, just in case.”

They added: “The Cottage is the best hospital in town and is very much used to working with the rich and famous on their medical needs discreetly, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she did a practise run to ensure it was all smooth sailing.

“Or of course, the sighting could very well could have been Meghan on her way to have her child, which is so very exciting!”

  • MEGHAN TO HAVE ‘BABY SPRINKLE PARTY IN LA’

Pregnant Meghan Markle is likely to have a “baby sprinkle party” ahead of the birth of her and Harry’s second child, says fellow Los Angeles resident, Sarah Ivens.

The Brit expat reckons Meghan will “find LA an odd place to be pregnant” because of its “laid-back, hippy, organic lifestyle”.

Ivens adds in the Daily Mail that while Meghan enjoyed a “fabulous baby shower hosted by Serena Williams” in New York penthouse before Archie’s birth, baby No2 will be a different celebration.

She explained that “baby showers are for first babies, and it’s considered crass in LA to have a big party and a long gift list for subsequent children”.
